Having captured our attention, the picture vividly betrays the fact that aweeping person's tear is the last drop of water on earth. Simple as it is, thedrawing set us sinking in awfully. Accordingly, what this far-reaching picturedepicts witnesses a common phenomenon in today's society: The world's resources，，especially the resource of water are decreasing sharply. It goes without sayingthat its symbolic message that the awareness of environment protection andeconomical utilization of the world's resources, especially the resource ofwater, has gone beyond the picture itself.

　　Why do we lay much emphasis upon this? Several points analyzed below might equipus with the deeper understanding of what we head for. For one thing, it is truethat water has been nurturing human kind for millions of years. It is the mostimportant resource for human beings. For another, there is not enough bodies ofwater scattering around the earth. If we do not attach urgent importance to arational distribution, exploitation and protection of the water resource, wewill sooner or later end up in severe shortage of water worldwide. Consequently,no issue stands as critical to build up the society in harmony as protectingwater resource.

　　Judging from what has been argued above, we have come to recognize thatthe harms arising from abusing water resource has been, like the pandora's box,the crippling force of establishing our ideal society. It is, therefore,imperative that effective steps should be made to protect our water resource. Onone hand, we should appeal to our authorities to make relevant laws andregulations to severely punish those who pollute the water. On the other hand,people should enhance the awareness of protecting water resource in our dailylife. Only by undergoing these measures, can we leave this precious resource toour future generations so that their tear will not become the last drop ofwater. Also, I do reckon that we human beings can solve this problem, and wewill have a bright future.
