Simple as it is,the drawing set us sinking in awfully. Accordingly, what this far-reachingpicture depicts witnesses a common phenomenon in today's society :Pets, ratherthan people around them, play an important part in their daily life. It goeswithout saying that its symbolic message that indifference among people shouldbe cleared up, has gone beyond the picture itself.

　　Why do we lay much emphasis upon this? Several points analyzed below might equipus with the deeper understanding of what we head for. For one thing, the greatmobility of people make it difficult to sustain long intimate relationships. Foranother, people today are too busy and exhausted to start and keep seriouslong-term relationships. And above all, modern means of entertainment andcommunication, such as TV, the internet,and mobile phones, etc. make people spend for less time actually interactingwith people around them. Consequently, no issue stands as critical to build upthe society in harmony ] as clear up indifferent among people.

　　Judging from what has been argued above, we have come to recognize that theharms arising from indifference has been, like the pandora's box，the crippling force of establishing our ideal society. It is, therefore,imperative that effective steps should be made to narrow and bridge the gapamong people. On one hand, the government should make relevant laws andregulations to establish the society where people live in harmony. On the otherhand，people shouldenhance the awareness of caring each other. Only by undergoing these measures,can we make our society, where people, even not knowing each other, help amongthem appeal to everyone. Also, I do reckon that we human beings can solve thisproblem, and we will have a bright future.
