Yang Yang was born in Lanzhou, in Gansu. He is a postgraduate student at the Direction Department of Beijing Film Academy. His representative works include: Lost Shotgun, Black Box, The Gourd Story, I am a City Inspector, Gun, The Ridge Beam, etc. He has written and directed a short film Black Box, which was nominated for the Chinese University Students TV Excellence Award at the Busan Film Festival in South Korea. The documentary I am a City Inspector won the Best Topic Award at the 6th Jiayuguan International Short Movie Film Festival, and his short movie (that he wrote and produced) The Ridge Beam won the ‘Spark Prize’ and Most Popular Award for Micro-Films at the Macao International Film Festival.

Guan Haotian is a undergraduate student at Communication University of China, majoring in Film Photography and Production. His directorial work earned him an invitation to the 2017 Finland Tampere International Short Film Festival. My 30 years, a documentary he edited and directed, was nominated for the Best Full Length Documentary at a Vision Youth Awards (Beijing), and qualified for the Venice International Film Festival’s ‘Focusing on China’ Program.
